xDB Cloud 1.0 Discovery Service incident

Cloud Operations identified an issue with interim unresponsiveness of Discovery Service in Europe

Incident Fixed: 

Cloud Operations team took broken node out of production, so Discovery service is fully functional now. Root cause analysis in progress

Issue Identified: 

During daily monitoring activates of xDB Cloud service, following issue with xDB Cloud was identified:

Issue Description: One of the nodes behind discovery service was in unresponsive state, causing some of requests to https://discovery-xdb-cloud.sitecore.net to fail

Customers affected: potentially, all xDB Cloud 1.0 customers (mostly, European xDB Cloud 1.0 customers) who re-connected to xDB Cloud during issue time frame

Time frame: 01-Dec-2016 07:00 AM UTC – 01-Dec-2016 1:00 PM UTC

Possible Impact on customer’s solution: when starting Sitecore solution connected to xDB Cloud 1.0, solution may fail to connect xDB Cloud and get connection strings
