Remove CNAME records from DNS before deleting Azure Front Door or Azure CDN resources

As part of cloud infrastructure monitoring activities, Sitecore Cloud Operations team identified an event which we would like to bring to your attention. In case you have any follow up question regarding the event, please do not hesitate to raise a support case on that matter from the home page of Sitecore Support & Self-Service Portal.

Event description: We have received a notification from Microsoft that on 9 April 2021, Microsoft will update Azure Front Door and Content Delivery Network to help prevent dangling DNS entries and the security risks they create.

Impact: Microsoft will start requiring the removal of canonical name (CNAME) records for Azure Front Door and Content Delivery Network resource endpoints from DNS before the resources can be deleted during the impacted time.

Planned further actions: To delete Azure Front Door or Content Delivery Network resources, you must first remove the resource endpoint CNAME records from DNS starting on 9 April 2021.
