Sitecore Managed Cloud - Azure Application Insights Access Issues

During daily monitoring activities, Sitecore Cloud Operations engineers identified an issue with Microsoft Azure due to which the Managed Cloud customers across Southeast Asia may have experienced intermittent connectivity issues while using Application Insights.

Affected Sitecore Cloud Service: Sitecore Managed Cloud customers 

Customer identification: The Managed Cloud customers having their Application Insights in Southeast Asia.

Summary of impact: Between 10:08 UTC and 10:36 UTC on 21 Sept 2019 , customers using Application Insights in Southeast Asia might have experienced intermittent latency, data access issues, and data gap issues when accessing application data in this region. This includes data being sent by non-retrying SDKs (including, but not limited to JavaScript SDKs).

Updates Summary


As per Microsoft , the Azure Engineers scaled down SNAT ports and restarted the role instances to mitigate the issue.

Sitecore Cloud Operations will continue to actively monitor this and have also requested for the Root cause analysis from Azure regarding the same.
